Her mouth dropped into a gentle oh of surprise. Leia knew she couldn’t take such a compliment without at least a helping of explanation to soften it. Pulling titles had its designated time and purpose, but she was like any other rebel, young and ready to fight. “I assure you… what you see is smoke and mirrors,” she offered modestly, half-humorously, and perhaps there was some truth to it. Often she marveled at how quickly time passed and how almost…. unnervingly unprepared she felt late at night after everyone retired to bed. “I am merely the fortunate receptacle of my superiors’ tutelage. Someone has to carry the torch. I’m sure you understand.”

“People only entrust that sort of power and importance to those that have proven they can, might I add.” It was almost an instinctual to seek hope in a sort of DARKENED soul, a dismal situation —– it was what made war worth FIGHTING in. It was irritating, how such unbeatable hope seemed to flow in her veins, spill from her lips – even feeling a bit AIMLESS. With the brunette that glowed like a SIGN in her eyes, Tidreen felt a bit BIASED — after all, she looked up to such the figure.
A small chuckle tumbled out. “ —— Sorry, I’ve just.. followed a lot of your work — “ A cough, and those delicate fingers moved into the chopped locks of scarlet, a smile broke the redundant praise. Perhaps she was a tad annoying with it. “I agree, though – and I do wish to HELP out any way I can. Not a lot of people can carry this thing on their own.”
