“My mother used to say hope is an everlasting manifestation if one gives it the proper room to flourish. For some, it’s all they have.” Hope was certainly a familiar motive for the Princess. Hope for a better, brighter future; hope for the restoration of her family; hope that there was truth in the notion that continuing to fight would make the pain hurt less. Hope would never truly be lost among the right people.

“With enough wine, I believe I’ll even be able to dictate my memoirs..” she teased, feeling particularly light, “you underestimate my ability to improvise. It is, after all, all princesses are good for.” Lapsing into seriousness, she added, “I don’t think much will be required of me other than my presence. Mon Mothma has old colleagues from Chandrila that are due to speak. I hear they’re very fond of elaborate and embarrassing story-telling, so I’m afraid I’m all yours this evening.”

The proper response was a bit of a shaking wake up, and it was NECESSARY. Within Tidreen’s many talents, she’d almost forget over and over that she needed to be FORMAL when speaking to those she admired. It was surprising it didn’t fire back on her in any sort — if fact, it usually surprisingly won favor. Though, it was certain Leia wasn’t simply becoming friendly with Tid simply for the high chance of PRAISE —— they sought similar goals, from similar perspectives. They were a rare breed now.
A soft chuckle, nodding playfully to the royal’s comment. Quit it, Tid. “ —- Well, then I suppose I should come up with more interesting conversation topics, huh?” A grin, something comparable to the very rays of the sun. “You’ve found yourself quite the team with those boys, haven’t you? Think they’ll stick around?”
